A Few Sunny Days Walking Around Adelaide
Spent a couple of days in Adelaide in mid-February. The weather was consistently bright and clear, with strong sun and blue skies the entire time I was there.
I spent most of my time walking around the city, particularly along the River Torrens. It's an interesting mix of new and old. The area is full of modern, glassy buildings like the Convention Centre, but it's right next to expansive green parkland. You can see the white-roofed Adelaide Oval from almost everywhere along the water.
After crossing one of the footbridges, I walked through the parks on the other side. The view of St Peter's Cathedral, with its twin spires framed by palm trees, was a definite highlight. The light was great for photos. It was quiet and calm, a nice contrast to the city buildings across the river.
The trip wasn't entirely for leisure. I found a ramen bar for dinner one evening, and also spent some time in a co-working space that had an impressive plant wall. A short, straightforward visit.
