A Few Sunny Days Walking Around Adelaide

First proper day in Adelaide, and the River Torrens turned out to do most of the routing. Started near the casino tower and the Convention Centre, then took the footbridge across — the Oval sits right on the far bank with its light towers up over the trees, big screen already flashing GAME DAY at whoever was crossing. The whole riverfront is walkable in a way I didn't expect: paddle boats stacked up along the water, paths on both sides, bridges every few hundred meters.

Kept going into the Park Lands on the north bank, which is where the city just stops and becomes lawn. St Peter's Cathedral shows up through the palms there, twin spires, sandstone. Looped back around the Oval past a fountain by the east gate — there's a hotel built straight into the stadium now, rooms facing outward.

Also poked my head into the Stone & Chalk startup hub in town, all black walls and a grid of potted plants. Ended the day at a ramen bar with a pink neon sign the size of a garage door.
