A New Year's Trip to the Rose Bowl

We started 2024 with a trip out for the Rose Bowl. It was a perfect day for a game on January 1st — bright sun and a completely clear blue sky over the stadium in Pasadena.

The place was absolutely packed. From our seats, we could see the entire sea of fans, mostly dressed in yellow and blue. The energy was incredible. We were surrounded by a massive crowd, watching the action on the field and the big screens, with a blimp circling overhead for most of the afternoon. We grabbed a quick selfie to remember being in the middle of it all.

The game went into the evening. After Michigan won, the celebration started. They had a drone light show over the stadium, spelling out the win against the night sky. To wind down after such a loud and exciting day, we went for a walk along a nearby pier. It was still decorated with holiday lights, including a green tree made of lights at the very end, reflecting on the water.
