A Perfect Spring Ski Day Above Lake Tahoe
We took advantage of a perfect bluebird day for some spring skiing in mid-April. The sun was out, the sky was completely clear, and the views across Lake Tahoe were incredible. From the upper mountain, you could see the whole basin laid out below, with snow still covering the peaks on the far side.
The conditions were just what you'd hope for this time of year. The snow was softening up in the sun but still skiing great. We stopped for a few photos against the backdrop of the lake and the surrounding mountains, trying to capture the scale of the landscape.
It was a pretty straightforward day of making turns under the sun, surrounded by pine trees and vast snowy slopes. Not a bad way to spend a Friday. It's days like this that make living here feel pretty special.
