A Spring Day Trip to San Luis Obispo
I took a day trip down to San Luis Obispo on April 8th. The timing felt perfect, with clear skies and signs of spring everywhere. Walking around in the afternoon, I noticed a lot of bushes in full bloom, like these pink flowers I saw against the side of a building. It was just a pleasant day to be outside.
I wandered through some of the older residential streets near the center of town. There's a lot of interesting architecture. I stopped to take a photo of one particularly grand, light-blue Victorian house. It was set back on a neat lawn with some very large, mature trees framing it. You can tell it's a neighborhood with a lot of history.
As evening set in, I found myself in a busy pedestrian area downtown. The whole place was illuminated by string lights, giving it a great atmosphere. A massive, colorful mural on one wall read 'SLO IRRESISTIBLE,' which seemed fitting for the vibe. People were out, heading to restaurants and just enjoying the evening. It was a nice way to cap off the day.
