An Afternoon at the Reno Aces Game

We drove down to Reno for a Sunday afternoon game in early May. The weather was a mix of clouds and sun, pretty typical for spring in the high desert. We got to the ballpark and found our seats behind home plate, watching the teams warm up through the protective netting.

Before the first pitch, a large school band filed out onto the outfield grass to perform. It's a classic part of the minor league experience, seeing local groups get their moment on the field. They played for the crowd as the last of the spectators settled in.

The game got underway under the bright stadium lights, which were on even for the day game. We watched a few innings from our seats, taking in the action on the field and the general hum of the crowd. The stands were fairly full, creating a good, relaxed atmosphere for a day out.

Outside the main seating area, they had activities for families. We passed a giant inflatable bouncy house shaped like the Reno Aces mascot, with a bunch of kids lined up. It was a pretty standard, pleasant day at the ballpark.
