A Quiet Afternoon at the Beach in Early April

An afternoon from early April, 2003. The plan was simple: go to the beach. The sky was full of dramatic, puffy clouds with patches of bright blue breaking through. It wasn't a perfect, sunny day, but the light was interesting and the air felt warm enough.

I remember standing at the edge of the water for a long time. Even with the cloud cover, the ocean had that vibrant turquoise color that feels almost unreal. The waves were gentle, just washing up over the sand. It was quiet out, not many other people around, which made it feel like I had the whole stretch of coast to myself.

After a while, I just found a spot on the coarse sand and sat down to take it all in. There's not much of a story here, just the memory of a quiet couple of hours spent by the water, which is sometimes all you need.
