Christmas with the VJs

Christmas at the house this year. We kept the stove going most of the evening and the presents piled up under the tree until the plaid paper started spilling past the branches. Someone's Santa sack sat out front with a handwritten tag on it, which was more careful gift-labeling than the rest of us managed.

The tree took the red and glass ornaments well, though a few of them ended up hanging lower than any tree should allow.

The day after, we got out for a walk. Barely any snow down low — the grass was flat and brown — but the peaks behind the houses had a proper white cap on them, so it still counted as a winter view. Back inside after, and the stove got fed again.
