A Quiet Winter Day at Home in Tahoe
A quiet day at home on February 19th. The sun was bright and low, casting long shadows across the snow and lighting up the entryway. My dog found the one warm spot on the slate tile and settled in to watch the day from the window. Outside, the house was surrounded by a thick blanket of white under a perfectly clear blue sky.
The snow was just right for packing, so I spent some time outside making a new friend. He ended up with a straw hat, sunglasses, and a bright orange scarf—a pretty stylish addition to the yard. It was a simple, classic winter afternoon activity.
The light was amazing as the day went on. The sun filtered through the frost-covered aspens and pines, making everything sparkle. It was one of those cold, crisp, perfectly still days we get up here in Tahoe. Just a quiet day spent around the house, enjoying the sun from both inside and out.
