A Simple Summer Day at the Park and Pool
It was a perfectly straightforward and sunny June day in the Bay Area. We started at a local playground, making the rounds through all the important equipment. There was a turn at the wheel of the stationary red train, some serious time on the swings, and a few trips down the roller slide.
The afternoon was warm enough to justify breaking out the inflatable pool in the backyard. It didn't take much to fill the lime-green ring and create a perfect spot to cool off from the midday sun.
Of course, a hot day by the pool calls for a popsicle. She was pretty proud of it, holding it up high before digging in. It was melting almost immediately, as they always do, making a sticky mess that the pool was there to wash away. A classic summer afternoon.
