A Summer Afternoon Boating and Tubing in Tahoe
It was a hot, sunny afternoon in late July, the kind of day made for being on the water. We spent some time at the dock getting everything ready. The kids were practically in the water before we cast off, sitting on the swim platform and holding the ropes to the tube, ready to go. One even took a turn pretending to be captain at the helm.
Once we were out in the open, we spent the next couple of hours pulling people on the tube. The water was just choppy enough to make it fun, creating a perfect wake to bounce over. The sun was bright, and the hills surrounding the lake were a little hazy in the distance.
The main event was watching everyone get their turn on the tube from the boat. The kids watched from the back seats as we drove, taking it all in. Just a straightforward, classic summer day spent with family on the lake.
