A Sunny September Afternoon on the Chairlift Swing
A warm afternoon for mid-September. We have this old ski lift chair hanging from a pine tree near the house, and it gets the best late-day sun.
I brought the cat out with me, not really expecting him to stick around, but he settled right into my lap and stayed put. He seemed perfectly content, which is a rare state for him when he's outside.
The sun was low and warm, filtering through the trees and lighting up all the dry pine needles on the ground. It was quiet, just the sound of the wind. It felt like one of those last, perfect summer days before the real chill of fall sets in around Tahoe. It wasn't anything special, just a simple half-hour spent sitting in the sun, but sometimes that's all you need.
