A Wedding Weekend in Palm Springs, California
We flew into Palm Springs in mid-May for a friend's wedding. The first couple of nights were all about gathering the group and catching up over long dinners. The restaurants were dimly lit and comfortable, perfect for a big group of friends getting together before the main event.
The celebrations continued with an outdoor party under the palm trees. As the sun went down, the string lights came on, and you could see the mountains in the twilight. It felt very much like a classic California evening, just a lot of friends laughing and catching up in a beautiful backyard.
Some of us managed to get out for a round of golf one morning. It was hot and sunny, and the course was incredibly green against the dry landscape of the mountains that ring the valley. It was a good way to spend the day before the official festivities.
The wedding reception itself was held outdoors on a large lawn, with long wooden tables set among olive trees and palms. It was the perfect setting to cap off the trip, with everyone together to celebrate in the clear desert air.
