An Afternoon at the Piano in San Francisco
Over to San Francisco for the afternoon, most of which happened at the piano. The baby stood at the keyboard, both hands flat on the keys, delighted by the noise coming out of a real grand — the lid was up, so every whack rang out through the whole room.
No actual songs got played. It was mostly two-handed banging, then a pause to point at something, then back to it. At one point the little one leaned in to study the keys up close, very serious about it, before going back to the flat-palm method.
We never got a turn at the bench ourselves. Hard to argue with an audience of one who thinks every chord is the best one yet.
