An Early March Weekend of Flowers
Since it was the beginning of the month, the flower fields nearby had just opened for the season. I drove over one afternoon to walk through them. The sky was mostly overcast, which is pretty typical for late winter here. The fields are huge, just acres of ranunculus planted in long, straight rows of solid color.
I just walked the dirt paths between the beds of flowers. There were sections of deep red, bright orange, and every shade of pink you can imagine. It’s something you get used to seeing every year, this massive patch of color that pops up for a couple of months before disappearing again.
