Ordinary December Day with the Dogs in San Marcos
Nothing planned today, just an ordinary December day at home with the dogs. They spent a good stretch of the morning up on the bed, both of them sitting against the pillows under the Matisse print like they'd been posed there, though nobody posed them. The little tricolor one held still the longest; the other one mostly wouldn't, wandering in and out of the way with her tags jingling.
The bed was made for about ten minutes before they flattened the whole arrangement.
Later in the kitchen, the Christmas stuff is out now — the gingerbread house cookie jar on the counter, the old Santa sign behind it. Had an almond cookie on the red plate with a glass of milk, which felt about right for the twelfth of December. The dogs did not get any, and made their feelings on that known.
