I spent a few days in St. Louis in early May of 2017. The first night, I went to a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium. It was a classic ballpark experience with the stands full of people. The stadium lights were bright against the heavy, overcast sky as evening set in. You could see the whole field lit up under the huge scoreboards.

The next day couldn't have been more different. The clouds from the night before were gone, replaced by a bright, clear blue sky. I went down to see the Gateway Arch, and the sun was so intense it created a brilliant flare right next to the structure. It's one of those landmarks that looks just how you expect, but it's still impressive to see it towering against the sky.
