Clear Skies and Cold Water in Early May
A few clear days here in Tahoe in early May. The weather was bright and sunny, so I spent some time walking along the river. The water was running clear over the rocks, and while the snow was gone from the lower hills, you could still see it capping the mountains in the distance.
The good weather held, so we decided to get the boat out on the water. It was quiet out on the lake, with the water that deep, almost unreal shade of blue it gets under a cloudless sky.
It’s always a different perspective seeing the shoreline from the middle of the lake. You could see the ski runs across the water, still holding onto some patches of snow. The sun felt warm, but the air still had a definite chill to it coming off the water.
