Early November Days with the Dogs

A couple of quiet days at home in early November. The weather was holding, so we spent most of the time outside in the yard. There are leaves scattered all over the grass now, but it's still green and the dogs don't seem to mind the chill.

Most of the energy this weekend came from the new puppy. It's all endless motion and curiosity, from sniffing every inch of the lawn by the trees to trotting across the driveway with a sense of purpose. It’s hard to get a photo that isn't at least a little bit blurry. One minute he's wrestling with the other dogs, the next he's just sitting for a second, watching everything happen.

By the afternoon, everyone was out in the yard together. Even the older dogs got into it, chasing after a colorful toy with the puppy. It was just a normal weekend, really, watching them run around the yard until the light started to fade.
