Early September Sunsets Over the Hills at Home
A quiet stretch of days at home in early September. Most evenings ended out on the patio, watching the sun drop behind the line of hills across the valley. The weather was clear, and the light just before sunset was incredibly bright and golden, casting a warm haze over everything.
The houses built into the slopes would catch the last direct light, and you could see for miles. It wasn't a dramatic event, just the steady, quiet rhythm of the day ending. The sun would dip, the intense light would soften, and the haze in the distance would turn a soft orange.
As the color faded from the sky, the first lights would start to appear in the houses below, scattered across the landscape. Just a normal few evenings watching the day turn to night from the backyard.
