Garden Lights and a Quiet Saturday Night In
A quiet Saturday night at home in early June. I spent some time out on the patio after dark, just appreciating the way the lights hit the plants. We have a couple of small spotlights pointed up into the tree, and they create this little glowing scene that stands out from the surrounding darkness.
The light catches the Buddha statue we have nestled among the ferns, and also this ornate, almost chandelier-like lantern hanging from one of the lower branches. It's a really calm, contained spot. The rest of the yard is just black, so it feels like its own little world, separate from everything else.
After coming inside, the evening wound down in a pretty standard way. A piece of cannabis-infused chocolate and a new vape cartridge. Simple stuff for a simple day. Just finding a bit of peace in my own backyard.
