Late July Trip to Center Township, Michigan
We spent a few days at the end of July and the beginning of August in Center Township, Michigan. Our arrival was met with a classic Great Lakes sunset, the sun dropping right over the water and leaving a long golden reflection. The view from the top of the grassy dunes was perfect.
The next day was overcast but calm, good for being on the water. I saw someone out on a paddleboard near a shoreline dotted with houses and thick summer trees. The water itself was that distinct green color you get on inland lakes.
We also made our way to a nearby harbor town. It was a bright, sunny day, with boats filling up the marina slips. From a high vantage point, looking over some yellow and white umbrellas, we could see the whole town and the bay stretching out. On the way out, we drove past a large green barn with a red roof, a nice slice of rural Michigan architecture against a blue sky.
