Music, Pool Time, and a September Sunset at Home

A quiet weekend at home in early September. The nights were still warm, the pool lit up against the view of the city lights below.

During the day, it was all about music. I spent some time going through the record collection, pulling out some Bill Evans and Jimi Hendrix to put on the Sonos. The refrigerator is covered in magnets from past travels, a reminder of other places while staying put for a while.

The afternoon was sunny and hot, and we spent most of it in the pool with friends, floating and relaxing in the bright sun. Even the dog got in on the day's activities with some characteristic enthusiasm.

We stayed in the water as the day cooled off, watching the sun set through the fence. The light caught the water and the plants, casting a warm glow on everything as the weekend came to a close.
