The Usual Suspects on a Late April Day

A couple of days at home at the end of April. Mostly, this just meant following these two around the house. They have a routine: a lot of standing and staring, usually in the kitchen, waiting for something to happen. The light coming in was bright, and they just seemed to be fixtures on the tile floor for a while, always together.

Their quiet observation usually gives way to a burst of energy. One minute they're still, the next they're wrestling by the dining room table. It never lasts long, just a quick scramble before they settle back down, or more often, get distracted by me.

Once they notice the camera, all bets are off. Suddenly it's a competition to see who can get their nose closest to the lens. It's all blurry close-ups, wet noses, and tongues sticking out. Then one of them is up on their hind legs, paws out, demanding full attention. Just another couple of perfectly ordinary days.
