A Few Days of Sightseeing in London
We spent a few days in London at the very end of March 2018. Arriving in the evening, we headed straight into the West End. The city was alive with lights, from the massive glowing billboards at Piccadilly Circus to the red lanterns strung across the streets in Chinatown. We walked by the Palace Theatre, which was lit up for the Harry Potter play.
The next day was for exploring on foot under classic grey, cloudy skies. We started at the Tate Modern, spending some time in the enormous Turbine Hall with its striped floor installation. From there, we joined the crowds walking across the Millennium Bridge, with St. Paul's Cathedral getting closer with every step. We got a family selfie once we were closer to the dome.
We continued our walk along the River Thames, getting the obligatory view of Tower Bridge and the boats passing underneath. The trip also included a visit to Kensington Palace, where we took a photo by the statue of Queen Victoria. It was a packed couple of days trying to see as much as we could.
