A Late Spring Wedding in Michigan, 2003
We were in Michigan for a wedding at the very end of May, 2003. The ceremony took place at a large brick building with impressive white columns. It was a bright, sunny day, perfect for an outdoor gathering, and everyone milled around on the steps before and after the service.
The couple made their grand exit from the building into a shower of bubbles from the guests. It's a classic celebratory moment that marks the shift from the formal ceremony to the party that follows. It was a lovely, joyful scene.
The reception was held in a grand, old-fashioned ballroom with warm, dim lighting from chandeliers. The bride and groom had their first dance in the center of the floor, surrounded by all their family and friends. It felt like a very traditional, elegant celebration.
As the night went on, the dance floor got more crowded and lively. The photos from later in the evening are a bit more grainy and blurred, which seems to capture the energy of the reception perfectly. It was a beautiful and fun event to be a part of.
