Murals and Gardens in Late August
A few quiet days at home at the end of August. I spent some time walking around town, passing the Bell's Brewery murals. I've seen them before, but the big hop graphic and the industrial scene by the railroad tracks always stand out, especially in the bright, late-summer light. There's a lot of color on the walls around here.
Nearby, another mural with a stylized sun says "OPEN TO ALL." It felt fitting for the afternoon, which was sunny and easygoing. Just a simple walk, noticing things.
The rest of the time was spent closer to home. A colorful wind spinner in the garden was turning in the breeze. The view from the backyard was just a wide-open field under a clear blue sky. It’s that time of year when everything is still lush and green, but you can feel the season starting to shift.
The quiet continued inside. There's an old wooden piano against a blue wall and a sign for 'Sunny Valley' hanging by the door. It was just a regular weekend, watching the light change and not doing much of anything.
