Passing Through Denver International Airport at Dusk
Just a quick pass-through Denver on the first of April. The sun was setting as I moved through the airport, casting a warm, soft light across the landscape. From the windows, you could see for miles across the plains, all the way to the mountains on the horizon. The sky was filled with long, thin clouds catching the last bits of color.
Looking out over the parking lots and runways, the scale of the place is impressive. It feels very exposed to the elements out here, with a huge sky overhead. The main terminal building, with its famous peaked roof, looks like a small city of white tents from a higher vantage point. It's a striking design, especially against the dramatic colors of the sunset.
As the light faded, the sky shifted from orange and pink to deeper blues. The terminal's roof stood out against the dimming light. It was a brief stop, but the view was memorable—a quiet, expansive scene at the end of the day before heading on to the next flight.
